✦ A playground for ideas, built with AI

Building partnerships.
Building products.
Building with AI.

What is this?

A playground. My first website ever, built (and rebuilt) with AI as my co-pilot. I use this space to experiment with branding, design, and the kind of work I want to do more of. Iterating out loud, on purpose!

Hi, I'm Sofia.

I'm a Chilean B2B leader and relationship builder, based in San Francisco. I started my career as a designer in retail at Forus, Chile's biggest lifestyle group, where I spent eight years learning how to build, sell, and grow brands across LATAM.

Then I crossed paths with Wheel the World in 2018, a startup using technology to make travel accessible for people with disabilities, and never looked back. I joined as employee #5 and grew into different leadership roles as the company scaled.

Today I lead Customer Success there. My favorite part of the job lives at the intersection of strategy and people: building real partnerships, mentoring an amazing team, and finding new ways to scale our impact (lately with a lot of help from AI).

Three things I'm really good at.

B2B Customer Success

I lead the post-sales lifecycle for a portfolio of 140+ enterprise partners (DMOs, hotel chains, service providers). My approach: zero churn, multi-threaded relationships, and QBRs that focus on real value, not slides.

LATAM ↔ US Bridge

I move between two cultures and two markets every day. Native Spanish, fluent English, and a deep understanding of how to build with LATAM teams while operating inside a US tech ecosystem.

AI & Operations

I build internal AI tools that scale my team's output. My own AI assistant, Ayla, runs on a server I manage and helps me with everything from CRM hygiene to drafting docs, proactively.

My career, in chapters.

2024 → Now
Head of Customer Success at Wheel the World
+
This is where I am now, and probably the role that fits me best. I love the relational part of the work: building real partnerships with our 140+ B2B clients, mentoring my team, and translating data into conversations that actually move things forward.
2023 → 2024
Head of Revenue & Sales at Wheel the World
+
A sharp pivot. We moved away from B2C and built our entire B2B engine: sales process, operational systems, and customer service from scratch. Sales-heavy, ops-heavy, and the moment our enterprise motion really took off.
2022 → 2023
Head of Product at Wheel the World
+
Lived in Jira, partnered with developers on roadmaps, and led the development of our proprietary accessibility data system (200+ data points per property). The hardest (and most rewarding) part: balancing every team's urgency while keeping the product moving forward.
2018 → 2021
Product Manager (Employee #5) at Wheel the World
+
The original Wheel the World team
Joined as employee #5 and helped build the platform from the ground up. Created our first CRM from scratch, defined our initial buyer personas, and chased product-market fit with the founding team. This is where I learned how to build something out of nothing. That's me with the original WTW crew.
2010 → 2018
Product Manager & Buyer at Forus S.A. (Hush Puppies)
+
Sourcing trip to India during Forus years
Eight years at Chile's largest lifestyle group, managing catalog strategy, supplier partnerships, and product assortments across 15 brands and 350+ SKUs. International development trips to China, Europe, India, and Brazil. Where I learned how to build, sell, and grow.

What I actually use AI for.

At work

  • Custom software I built in 2 days (not the year it would've taken our team) that turns account health into strategic focus and tells us where to spend energy next. In constant iteration.
  • Custom decks, 3YPs, and QBR docs personalized for each client
  • Agents that draft responses, manage tasks, and handle routine ops
  • Real-time dashboards on team metrics, pipeline, and account health
  • Call summaries, meeting prep, and follow-ups, on autopilot

In life

  • Shared family calendar with my husband, coordinated through Ayla
  • Planning summer camps and family vacations end to end
  • Conversational check-ins for work-life balance, when I need to recalibrate
  • Travel research, itineraries, and packing lists for our trips
  • The hundred small life-admin tasks I would otherwise forget
Powered by Ayla
This site, like a lot of my experiments, runs on Ayla, my own AI assistant. She helps with work, with life, and with whatever I'm tinkering with next.

Life beyond the laptop.
